Long intro balance transfer APR
This is one of our favorite cards for balance transfers. It has 0% intro APR for 21 months on balance transfers and a discounted balance transfer fee for the first four months. That combo makes it one of the most generous balance transfer offers we’ve seen. But it doesn't have much ongoing value after the intro 0% APR period ends. Read Full Review

Depending on your financial situation, the best cosmetic surgery credit card could be either an intro 0% APR credit card or a rewards credit card.
With a 0% intro APR card:
With a rewards card:
Now, there is some overlap between these two types of credit cards. Some cards offer a 0% intro APR and rewards on your purchases, so you could get the best of both worlds. However, it's still best to prioritize the feature that will save you the most money.

Look for cards with a 0% intro APR on purchases that will last as long as you need. For example, if it's going to take you 14 months to pay off your plastic surgery, consider cards with an intro period of 14 months or longer. If there aren't any credit cards with a long enough intro period, go for the card with the longest 0% offer.
Calculate how much time you need to pay off your plastic surgery. Find out the total cost of the surgery and figure out how much you can pay toward it per month. Put those numbers into the debt repayment calculator below with a 0% interest rate to get your payoff timeline.
Compare bonus offers. Many rewards cards offer welcome bonuses, which are a large chunk of rewards for new cardholders. Most of these bonus offers only require that you spend a certain amount, which can be easy if you have an expensive cosmetic procedure to pay for.
Check the rewards rate. Certain credit cards earn a flat rate, such as 1.5% to 2% back (or 1.5x to 2x credit card points), across all spending categories. Others have bonus categories where they earn more back and a lower rate (normally 1%) on non-bonus spending.
Use rewards as the tiebreaker. Cash back credit cards are the best option to earn money back on plastic surgery costs. Travel credit cards are also a good choice if you like to travel, although most don't have a 0% intro APR.
You need a FICO® Score of 670 or higher to qualify for the best plastic surgery credit cards. This includes the most popular 0% intro APR cards and rewards cards, as they're designed for consumers with good to excellent credit.
You can get some credit cards with a lower credit score, but they don't have as many benefits. If you're working on increasing your credit score, you may be better off choosing a different type of plastic surgery financing.
In addition to credit cards, here are other good payment options to finance plastic surgery.
Some plastic surgery clinics offer their own special financing options or have payment plan options available through a financing company. You can discuss options at the clinic during your consultation.
Some of the most common options are healthcare credit cards. Here are two popular choices that may be available with your plastic surgeon:
Keep in mind that many zero-interest financing options, including the CareCredit Card and the Alphaeon Credit Card, are deferred interest. With this type of financing, you must pay off your balance by the end of the no-interest period, or you'll be charged interest going back to the purchase date.
A personal loan can be a good way to pay for plastic surgery, as you'll have a fixed monthly payment. Interest rates depend on your credit score and the lender. It's best to shop around and compare rates from a few top personal loan lenders.
If you're a homeowner, borrowing against your home equity is a simple, low-interest financing option. You can either get a home equity loan, which is a one-time loan, or a home equity line of credit (also called a HELOC), which you can borrow from multiple times.
Keep in mind that your home is the collateral when you get a home equity loan or HELOC. If you don't make your payments, you risk foreclosure.
If you have a 401(k), you can likely borrow against it at a low interest rate. Repayments are automatically taken from your paycheck. It's generally not recommended to borrow against your retirement savings, but this is an option if you need a procedure and don't have another good way to finance it.
At Motley Fool Money, we rate credit cards on a five-star scale (1 = poor, 5 = best). Our rating criteria includes rewards rates, welcome bonuses, fees, and perks like travel credits and 0% intro APR offers to evaluate our ratings.

We combine these factors with an evaluation of brand reputation and customer satisfaction to ensure you're getting the best card recommendations. Learn more about how Motley Fool Money rates credit cards.
The best way to finance plastic surgery is with a credit card that offers a 0% intro APR on purchases. With this type of credit card, you're not charged any interest on purchases until the end of the introductory period. You can use that time to pay down plastic surgery costs interest free.
Yes, you can put the cost of plastic surgery on a credit card. This does, however, depend on the payment methods the plastic surgeon accepts. Most surgeons in the U.S. accept credit cards, but if you're traveling to another country for plastic surgery, you might need to use a different payment method.
Yes, you can earn credit card points by using a credit card for plastic surgery. This is one of the biggest benefits of paying for plastic surgery with a credit card. If you want to earn even more back, you could open a new credit card with a welcome bonus and use the cost of the surgery to meet any spending requirements for that bonus.
