To be sure, these are not the only cards that earn Ultimate Rewards points. But they are the only three that allow point transfers.
It's also worth noting that there are a few Chase credit cards that earn cash back. These are:
If you have one of these cards, the cash back you earn isn't transferable as points all by itself. However, if you have one of the three cards in the list above, you are allowed to combine your reward points into a single account, and the rewards you earn from these cash back cards can become transferable points.
Transfers must be completed in 1,000-point increments, and all transfers are at a 1-to-1 ratio. There are occasional transfer bonuses to incentivize cardholders to transfer their points to certain partners. For example, you might see a 25% transfer bonus with a specific airline partner.
There are 11 airline loyalty programs that allow Chase Ultimate Rewards points to be transferred on a one-to-one basis:
In addition to its airline partners, Chase also has three hotel partners to which Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred:
In addition to these airline and hotel partners, you can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to another person. They must have an Ultimate Rewards account of their own, and just like airline and hotel transfers, points must be transferred in increments of 1,000.
The official guidance from Chase indicates that after you complete the steps to make an Ultimate Rewards transfer, which we'll outline in the next section, the transfer should post "within several business days."
In practice, the transfers often happen significantly faster. There are several third-party accounts of most Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers happening instantly, with a few specific programs taking as long as two business days.
Also, if there's a transfer bonus offer, there are reports that the transferred points and the bonus points might show up in two separate transactions.
The process of transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points is a rather easy one.
1. Log in to your Chase account. You can do this on a laptop or smart phone.
2. Navigate to the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. It should look like the screenshot below.
3. Select "Travel". Then click on "Transfer to Travel Partners" at the top of the Ultimate Rewards dashboard.
4. Select the transfer partner you want. You'll either need a loyalty program account with the transfer partner, or you'll need to make one prior to transferring. In other words, if you don't have a Marriott Bonvoy account, you'll need to make one.
5. Enter the number of points you'd like to transfer. Remember that these have to be in increments of 1,000.
6. Confirm the transfer. Be sure the name on your Chase account is the same as the name on the account you have with the transfer partner.

There is no charge to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to another account, another person's Ultimate Rewards account, or to one of Chase's 14 airline and hotel partners.
It depends on how you use them and which card you have. The three Chase cards that allow point transfers all have a bonus value for points when redeemed directly for travel through Chase's portal, making them worth $0.0125 to $0.015 each. However, if you can find a good mileage redemption deal through an airline's loyalty program, it's not uncommon to get $0.02 or more in value per mile.
The short answer is that if you find a good deal on a redemption flight through an airline (or if you get a transfer bonus from a promotion), transferring your miles can be an excellent value.
Unlike with certain other airlines, Delta and American are not Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partners, so you can't transfer your rewards points into their loyalty programs to book tickets. However, you can use the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal to book flights on these airlines directly with your Ultimate Rewards points. In fact, with some of the point-earning cards, you'll get a 25% or 50% bonus on redeemed points.
