This redemption option is only available if you have a Chase Sapphire card or the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. Once you've chosen this option, select a travel partner, enter the number of points you want to send and your account information in that partner's loyalty program, and confirm the transfer.
TIP
Trying to transfer your Chase points to a specific airline or hotel? We've got you! Here are some of the transfer guides we've put together:
Chase has an extensive list of airline and hotel transfer partners. Here are the frequent flyer programs where you can transfer Chase points:
And here are the hotel loyalty programs:
Transfers are one of the best ways to redeem points on a Chase credit card. If you can find a good award booking, it's possible to get a very high value for your points.
Value:
With this option, you can search for and book travel through the Chase Travel portal. If you're not sure how to use the portal, check out our Chase Travel Portal Guide.
Although all Chase rewards cards offer this, you get more value for your points with a Chase travel card.
Pay Yourself Back lets you apply points as a statement credit toward eligible purchases from the last 90 days. The types of purchases that are eligible and the value you get for your points depend on your Chase credit card, and Chase can change these periodically.
In the table below, you'll find the current Chase Pay Yourself Back offers for all its rewards credit cards:
Cards | Value per point | Categories | Expiration date |
---|---|---|---|
Chase Sapphire Reserve® | $0.015 | Grocery stores, dining, home improvement stores, select charities, funding a vaccine ride with Lyft | Sept. 30, 2021 (select charities expire Dec. 31, 2021) |
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card | $0.0125 | Grocery stores, dining, home improvement stores, select charities, funding a vaccine ride with Lyft | Sept. 30, 2021 (select charities expire Dec. 31, 2021) |
Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card | $0.0125 | Shipping, home improvement stores, internet, cable, and phone services, select charities, funding a vaccine ride with Lyft | Sept. 30, 2021 (select charities option expires Dec. 31, 2021) |

Value:
Chase Dining has special dining offers you can purchase with your points. These include meals for delivery and pickup as well as outdoor seating reservations.
Value:
Chase offers gift cards from a variety of merchants. Although you normally get the same value for your points as you would on cash back redemptions, there are usually gift card promotions with some merchants where you can get a 10% discount.
Value:
The simplest way to redeem points on a Chase credit card is cash back. You can choose to get cash back as either a statement credit or a deposit to a bank account.
Value:
This option is also only available if you have a Chase travel card or the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. If so, you can search for and book available experiences.
Value:
Chase offers a shopping portal where you can redeem points for Apple products.
Value:
To redeem points on a Chase credit card at Amazon, sign in to your Amazon account and link your Chase card to it. After that, you can pay with points during checkout -- albeit for a very low value per point.
If you have multiple Chase rewards cards, you can move points from one to the other. To do so, click "Combine points" in the list of options on the "Earn / Use" dropdown menu.
By combining points, you can open up more ways to redeem points on a Chase credit card or increase the value you'll get from your points.
If you have a cash back card and a travel card with Chase, you can move your points to the travel card so you can transfer points to travel partners. And if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, it makes sense to move your points to that card for redemptions where it offers a higher rate of $0.015 per point.
All the ways to redeem points on Chase credit cards can seem overwhelming at first glance. But it's not as complicated as it looks.
If you only have a Chase cash back card, then cash back is usually the best choice. That's the simplest option, and there aren't any high-value alternatives. You could also consider gift cards if you find any promotions you like or Pay Yourself Back if it has any current deals that interest you.
If you have a Chase travel card or the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, check for transfer opportunities to travel partners first. These offer the most potential value. Other options that provide a good value per point are travel bookings through Ultimate Rewards, Pay Yourself Back, and Chase Dining.
The key to using Chase points is narrowing it down to a few high-value redemption options you like. That way, you don't need to look through every option when you redeem points on a Chase credit card.
Here are some other questions we've answered:
We recommend comparing options to ensure the card you're selecting is the best fit for you. To make your search easier, here's a short list of standout credit cards.
