You'll need at least 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to transfer to United.
You need a United MileagePlus account to transfer your points to. You can sign up for the United MileagePlus account on United Airlines' website. You'll be asked to provide your:
Once your account has been created, you'll receive an email containing your MileagePlus number.
Navigate to https://ultimaterewardspoints.chase.com/home. If you have more than one Chase credit card, make sure you select the card with the points you want to transfer when you log in.

Then you'll select "Travel" in the navigation bar to go to the Chase Travel Portal, and then "Transfer points to partners."

You'll see a list of partners to choose from. Select United Airlines. You'll then click "Transfer Points."

Remember that email you got earlier with your MileagePlus number? Enter that now to connect your two accounts. If for whatever reason you didn't create a MileagePlus account yet, you'll see an option to do that here.
Transfers must be made in 1,000-point increments. You must have at least 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points, but you can transfer as many as you'd like above that. There's a 1:1 transfer ratio from Chase to United.
Confirm your transfer and submit! Transfers are usually instant, but in some circumstances can take up to 24 hours. Make sure to double-check that your United MileagePlus account accurately reflects the right amount of points after your transfer.
Now all that's left to do is book your flight using your newly-transferred miles. Here are a few tips for getting the most out of your United MileagePlus points.
The earlier you book, the more likely you are to find saver-level awards, which require fewer miles. Booking six to 12 months in advance gives you the best chance to secure low-mileage flights.
Familiarize yourself with United's award chart to understand how many miles are required for flights to various destinations. Look for flights during off-peak times to minimize the number of miles needed.
United is part of the Star Alliance, which means you can use your MileagePlus points to book flights with any of the 26 Star Alliance partners (such as Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, or ANA). This can provide access to more routes and potentially better award availability.
United allows you to use miles for upgrades to premium cabins (business or first class) on many flights. If you already have a paid ticket, using miles for an upgrade can offer great value, especially on long-haul flights.
Transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United is a simple and effective way to boost your MileagePlus balance for award flights and upgrades. By following the outlined steps above, you can seamlessly make the transfer and begin planning your next travel adventure with United.
We recommend comparing options to ensure the card you're selecting is the best fit for you. To make your search easier, here's a short list of standout credit cards.
