At first glance, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card and the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card appear designed for different purposes: the one to maximize cash back, the other to pay off debt. But under the surface, they're both excellent balance transfer credit cards. While the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card has a longer 0% intro APR period for balance transfers, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card might still be the better card for some people. With that in mind, let's compare both cards to help you decide which is right for you.

The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card offers 12 months from account opening of intro 0% APR for balance transfers and new purchases, plus a 3% introductory balance transfer fee (min: $5) for 120 days after opening your account. (After that, the card charges a balance transfer fee of up to 5%, min: $5.) That gives you a year to pay off a balance before the card's regular APR kicks in. The card also earns 2% back on all purchases, offers a welcome offer to new cardholders, and gives you $600 of cellphone insurance.
The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card has one thing going for it: Its long -- long -- 0% intro APR. Cardholders will get 21 months from account opening of 0% intro APR for balance transfers and new purchases. It doesn't earn rewards, but it has cellphone protection up to $600. As a balance transfer credit card, its biggest weakness is its balance transfer fee: 5%, min: $5. It's a steep price to pay, but it's worth it if it means saving on interest with a longer zero-interest period.
We recommend comparing options to ensure the card you're selecting is the best fit for you. To make your search easier, here's a short list of standout credit cards.

For those seeking a balance transfer credit card, deciding between these Wells Fargo credit cards might be tough. To help you make the right choice, let's take a closer look at each card's primary offerings.
Winner: Tie
Neither credit card has an annual fee and both charge the same 3% fee on foreign transactions. For this category, then, I'll give them the same score.
Winner: Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card
There's no competition here, literally: the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card doesn't have a sign-up bonus. Meanwhile, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card offers new cardholders $200 cash rewards when they spend $500 within 3 months of opening an account. By default, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card wins.
Winner: Tie
The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card offers a 0% intro APR period for 12 months from account opening on balance transfers and new purchases. While that's not the longest zero-interest period I've seen, it does have one other very attractive feature: a 3% introductory balance transfer fee (min: $5) for your card's first 120 days. (Again, after that the card charges a balance transfer fee of up to 5%, min: $5).
For its part, the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card has a longer 0% intro APR period of 21 months from account opening for balance transfers and new purchases. That gives you six more months to pay off your balance than the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card. But there is a catch: The balance transfer fee is 5%, min: $5 of your transferred amount.
The cards' go-to APRs differ slightly (that is, the APR that applies once introductory offers conclude). The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card has a go-to 19.24%, 24.24%, or 29.24% Variable APR. Meanwhile, the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card has a slightly lower go-to 17.24%, 23.74%, or 28.99% Variable APR.
So which card has the better 0% intro APR offer? Ultimately it comes down to how long it will take you to pay off your balance.
Since these cards will appeal to people in different situations, I'm going to declare this a tie. They're both excellent cards for paying off debt. But, depending on your debt repayment strategy, one will likely save you more on interest or fees than the other.
Winner: Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card
Another easy win for the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card. This card earns 2% back on purchases, which ranks it among some of the best flat-rate cash back cards. The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card, however, doesn't earn rewards or cash back. Since 2% is greater than zero, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card is certainly better for rewards.
The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card and the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card are powerful credit cards that can help different people accomplish their goals. If your No.1 need in a credit card is a long 0% intro APR period, the Wells Fargo Reflect® Card will give you 21 months from account opening -- the longest 0% intro APR period we've found. However, if you don't need that much time and can pay your balance within 12 months from account opening, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card gives you that, plus a lower intro balance transfer fee. Do the math for yourself, as one will likely save you more in fees and interest than the other.

This no-frills card is a solid choice if your priority is to avoid credit card interest for as long as possible. It offers an incredible intro APR. The balance transfer fee (5%; $5 min.) is higher than some cards, but if you want an equally long intro APR on purchases, this card is hard to beat. Read Full Review
