Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior SA is engaged in the provision of trade financing to commercial banks, middle-market companies and corporations. It operates through the Commercial and Treasury segments. The Commercial segment incorporates all of the Bank's financial intermediation and fees generated by the commercial portfolio. The Treasury segment handles the deposits in banks and all of its trading assets, securities available-for-sale, and held-to-maturity, and the balance of the investment funds. The company was founded in 1977 and is headquartered in Panama City, Panama.
