In addition to bearings, it offers drives, belts, chains, lubrication systems, couplings, industrial clutches, and brakes. It operates through the Mobile and Process Industries segments. The Mobile Industries segment serves OEM and end-user customers with solutions that help move transportation forward efficiently. The Process Industries segment handles OEM and end-user customers in industries such as renewable energy, robotics and automation, and food production. The company was founded by Henry Timken in 1899 and is headquartered in North Canton, OH.
