It operates through the following segments: Energy Systems, Infrastructure Systems, Retail & Printing, Storage & Device, Industrial ICT (Information and Communications Technology), and Others. The Energy Systems segment offers hydro-electric, solar, geothermal, nuclear, and thermal power generation facilities. The Infrastructure Systems segment includes systems for water and sewage, roads, broadcasting and radio, elevators, air conditioning, lighting, environment, station automation, and transportation. The Retail & Printing segment provides point-of-sale systems and multifunction machines. The Storage & Device segment manufactures and sells power devices, small signal devices, optical semiconductors, mixed signal integrated circuits, image sensors, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The Industrial ICT segment deals with the information technology services. The Others segment offers logistics services. The company was founded in July 1875 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
